Sky Ferreira Channels Her Inner Madonna For V Magazine
Because I had a bit of a rough start yesterday morning, my first day of 2012 turned out to be a lot more relaxed than I anticipated. I ended up spending some time with an old friend yesterday afternoon … because the 1985 Madonna film Desperately Seeking Susan was on cable. To be honest, I think I’ve only seen the film once or twice since it was originally released 27 years ago (!!!) so it was nice taking a trip back in time to remember the good ol’ days.
It’s crazy how iconic Madonna looks in this film. I mean, all the clichés we know about her stem from EVERYTHING about Desperately Seeking Susan. From Madonna‘s look, to her attitude to the music of the film, the Madonna who became a legend was really introduced to the world on a large scale in this film. Desperately is, in all honesty, a terrible film … but its true importance is as a time capsule from the 80s. Man, 85 … a lifetime ago.
David and I did manage to get out of the house last night … we went out for a fun pizza dinner:
Which means I’ve already had 2 pizzas in 2012 already ;) Good times. I think we’re gonna try and hang out with Darion tonight … since we haven’t seen him since last year. It’s about time, I think. Happy Monday … Happy First Week of the New Year!!

New Year! New Jersey Shore! Watch The Boys Beautify Themselves In This Preview!
The crew is back in the States, back on the boardwalk, and back to GTLin and DTF business!!
But it wouldn't be Jersey Shore without the boys gettin' their hur did, lol!!!
In the season five premiere, The Situation, Ronnie, Pauly D, and Vinny all go to the barber shop to make sure their locks [...]
Just look at the detail on this thing! Straight off the pages of Marvel's finest artist, we imagine.
Now that we are in the new year, its time to start thinking about some of the most anticipated flicks of 2012. Some chapters are ending - The Dark Knight Rises, Breaking Dawn: Part Two, but some are just beginning, like The Hunger Games and most especially, The Avengers.
If ever there was a movie to get pumped about, this Joss Whedon venture would be the one. And if you need some incentive to get into the spirit, look no further than this here new poster for the movie.
We know he's Iron Man, but must we cover Robert Downey Jr. smokeshow face like that! Seriously, is that necessary! LOL!

Russell Out And About In London On A Solemn Note
Russell and Katy are unfortunately splitting and Russell has been bouncing around LondonTown in the aftermath
Russell is trying to chillax at the Savoy Hotel and was spotted picking up a mystery lady earlier on Tuesday?
Has he hit the rebound track already?! No, it was just a friend.
When a hotel patron wished the comedian a Happy [...]
Just terrible!
Okay, so, the republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum decided recently that it was okay to single out black people when it came to discussing welfare -- playing right into racist stereotypes that are not true at all.
He was asked this question:
“How do we get off this crazy train? We’ve got so much foreign influence in this country now. Where do we go from here?”
Which, at it's core, seems to be a question about foreign money.
This is how Santorum responded:
"The bottom line is, I don't want to make black peoples' lives better by giving them, I want to give them the opportunity to go out and earn the money and provide for themselves and their families."
First off, that doesn't really have anything to do with foreign money. That's just weird to respond like that.
Secondly, and most blatantly, he singles out the black community. Why? Why does he decide to do this?
Especially when only 9% of Iowans on food stamps are black, and a whopping 84% are white. Nationally the picture is still the same: 39% white, 37% black, 17% hispanic!
So what's his reason for singling out black people? This:
“Yesterday I talked for example about a movie called, um, what was it? ‘Waiting for Superman,’ which was about black children and so I don’t know whether it was in response and I was talking about that."
... Which is a movie about several different races.
Ugh. We just don't get it. Why can't people just be tolerant of each other? Why do we have to single anyone out for being black, especially when the statistics don't back it up? How do people like this get into the position of enough supporters to even try for the President of the United States??
Blows our minds! Watch it above!

R Patz Popped Pills Before First Meeting Twilight Producers
Let's hope this was an isolated incident…
During a recent interview, Robert Pattinson opened up about his first time meeting with the Twilight producers…and we are not impressed with what he had to say!
According to R-Patz, he was so nervous about meeting the Twi-producers, that he popped half a Xanax to calm himself, AND THEN popped [...]
A very, merry Christmas indeed - and it's not even Thanksgiving!
According to the numbers, it looks very possible that Justin Bieber's first Christmas album, Under The Mistletoe, will don its gay apparel on the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200 chart. Industry sources are projecting the disc will debut with 200,000 to 220,000 copies sold in it's first week.
That's nothing to scoff at for an XMas album! The power of The Biebs lives on!!!
Good for him! Despite what other people might say, Justin has been a very good boy this year and deserves the accolade!

RiRi is moving! She's put her $4.5mil mansion up for sale and is looking for something new and fresh!
The home boasts eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a beautiful view, and crummy construction!
In fact, that's the real reason Rihanna is leaving we've learned! She tried to fix it up, but it's just too much of a project for her. ...probably because it seems as if the initial project was never finished.
She even filed a lawsuit against the developer back in August over the poorly built house! Yikes!
But still, if you need a quick in-n-out kinda place to stay, this place would be perfect for you! Ha..

We cannot express enough how excited we are for this!
Warner Bros has announced that the premiere for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will take place in both Leicester Square AND Trafalgar Square!
No films have EVER had red carpet premieres before at Trafalgar Square. So cool!
The cast will walk the red carpet at the July 7 premiere, and that will only be the BEGINNING of the awesomeness!
Here's what Warner Bros Pictures UK president and managing director Josh Berger had to say about it:
"We are delighted that our plans for the finale of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will take place in such a spectacular venue."
"We pride ourselves on the creativity of our premieres and the space within Trafalgar Square will lend itself to being a magical experience for both guests and fans."
Sounds fantastic! We'll be sad to see the end of the Harry Potter franchise until they all get re-released in director's cut 3D extended editions, but we're SO happy to hear that they'll be going out with a bang!

Justin Bieber Selena Gomez Enjoy A Date Night On Oscar Night
Welp … today was a total wash for David and me here in Berlin. Because we both stayed up until after 5:00 AM local time to watch the Academy Awards last night (and root for our boy Trent Reznor), we kinda slept until 2:30 PM … and then both had to work a full day of writing so … it’s now 8 PM, we’re still working and the day is basically over.
BUT, because we are here for 2 weeks, we counted on having a day or two which could be wasted and so … today was one of those days. Tomorrow night we are seeing Kylie Minogue LIVE on her Les Folies 2011 Tour so that should get us back into the swing of things. We plan on getting back on our normal sleep schedule tonight so that we can wake up and venture out into the city tomorrow morning as planned. We are planning to enjoy a late dinner tonight so … mebbe we can still salvage at least a bit of today :)
